March 14, 2017 – BOSTON, MA – Stavis Seafoods, a family owned, international importer and first receiver of fresh & frozen seafood, today announced that Brandii Holmdahl will serve as the company’s new Director of Quality. Holmdahl, who held quality positions at every level of the seafood industry, most recently served as Quality Operations Manager at Icicle Seafoods, Inc. As Director of Quality at Stavis Seafoods, Holmdahl will be charged with overseeing the overall quality and consistency of the company’s seafood, which includes food safety, standards implementation and auditing, and developing process and traceability controls at all of Stavis’ locations. In order to meet the needs of the company’s evolving customer base, she will also be responsible for leading its efforts in meeting the global standards of the British Retail Consortium (BRC).

“Brandii’s addition to our team is an essential part of our growth strategy,” said Richard Stavis, CEO of Stavis Seafoods. “Quality will have a broader role in our business plan and this restructured position will partner with senior managers in making business, safety and even product decisions. She understands processes and new technology and can provide data analysis to enhance our monitoring, training, traceability and food safety programs. Holmdahl has more than 20 years of experience in seafood and is NOAA/USDC HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, IPM, and AQS independent auditor certified. At Icicle Seafoods, she served as the North-West Manager for Quality Operations working directly with harvesters to improve raw product quality and traceability through training and innovation. She also served as the Quality Manager at Icicle Seafoods’ Seward Fish where she implemented database tracking and traceability programs and guided the company through BRC audits.
